The Camp Bay Lodge's ideal location in the East End of Roatan, right next to the Port Royal National Park and the gorgeous satellite islands east of Roatan (St.Helena, Morat, Barbareta, Pigeon Cays), offer you plenty of outdoor activities to play and to explore this still pristine paradise on land or the Caribbean waters.

You need to come down, a break from daily businesses? You want to relax and recover, regain some energy? The Camp Bay Lodge is the right place for you: do yoga, get a massage, go snorkelling or scuba dive in the Mesoamerican Reef or stroll among our white-sand beach, hang out in our hammocks and treat yourself with a healthy shake or smoothie from our bar.

Kitesurf


Learn kitesurfing, rent equipment or practice your skills with our partner school Kitesurf Roatan which is situated right next to the Camp Bay Lodge and only a few steps to the Caribbean Sea. Lessons can be given in English, Spanish and German. Beach and rescue service included. For the more advanced rider Kitesurf Roatan offers tours to outstanding island spots with nice flat water.

Fly Fishing


The Camb Bay Lodge is ideally located for Fly Fishing in the East End of Roatan and therefore close to some of the best flats to cast Bonefish, Permit, Snook and Tarpon.

Catch a trophy with Hanford, one of the best boat captains on the island, who knows the water like the palm of his hand, yet born and raised in the East End of Roatan and been fishing all his life. His exceptional eye and understanding for fish will make sure you are successful

Hiking


Explore with our local guides the only National Park of Roatan which offers great views and a surprising different vegetation. Gain insight over the natives culture from an Islanders perspective, hike to Roatan's highest Elevation and enjoy the end of your trip on the beach.

Kayak Tour


We paddle East of Roatan and take a cut through the mangrove forest to reach to the historical “Port Royal” on the south shore of Roatan. Our lunch break will be on a cay overlooking the bay with view over the famous Cow & Calf, Fort Frederick and the Port Royal National Park. A stranded ship wreck sitting on the reef next to it is inviting to explore the underwater life with snorkel & mask.

Alternatively you can kayak in on the main beach of the Camp Bay Lodge to snorkel and explore the outer Mesoamerican Reef.

Scuba Dive


Roatan’s reef is part of the 2nd largest barrier reef, the Mesoamerican Reef, in the world and hosts an incredibly diverse marine ecosystem. Stunning, awe-inspiring canyons and swim throughs will leave you speechless. Dolphins are a regular sight both on boat rides and on dives.

Our partner, Dive Pangea Roatan, is located on Camp Bay Beach next to the Camp Bay Lodge. They are dedicated to providing a unique, relaxing and safe dive experience with an emphasis on protecting our oceans.

SUP Tour

We are pleased to offer all guests, a fun try-out on our Stand-Up-Paddle.
First time? Don’t worry, the crystal clear water and the sandy ground make it easier to learn.

For more advanced SUPers: give SUP-yoga a try. And the adventurous people should paddle a bit further out where you will find smaller waves.

Yoga


Practice with one of our certified yoga teachers at your own convenience or simply use our yoga platform at your ease. Group lessons & private lessons are hold upon reservation.

Our open-air yoga platform is over looking the sea and is located on the second floor above our restaurant. You will enjoy the breeze and the view.

Prepare a meal for the kids at our school village, bring some second hand clothing or schooling material for the Camp Bay kids.

The island boys & girls love to play football (soccer) and are always in need of balls and boots (Size 5-9 US).
