Mesoamerican Barrier Reef

Roatan’s reef is part of the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world and hosts an incredibly diverse marine ecosystem. Camp Bay Beach is located on the far east side of Roatan, which is still relatively undeveloped. Because this end of the island is still a well kept secret, the East End dive sites are some of the most impressive in the Caribbean. Stunning, awe-inspiring canyons and swim throughs will leave you speechless. Dolphins are a regular sight both on boat rides and on dives.

FLY FISHING

The Lodge is ideally located for Fly Fishing in the East End of Roatan and therefore close to some of the best flats to cast Bonefish, Permit, Snook and Tarpon. Your guide will bring you in the best position to get a shot at your trophy. All Fly Fishing tours can stop for lunch at our favorite seafood restaurant in St. Helena by “Jerlin” where you can actually hand feed the Tarpons swimming underneath the restaurant.

The Camp Bay Lodge works with “Hanford” and his 27 foot panga “Jeyni” for all our Fly Fishing tours. He established himself as one of the best boat captains on the island and knows the water like the palm of his hand. Born and raised in the East End of Roatan he has been fishing all his life and developed an exceptional eye and understanding for fish and their behavior. Guests appreciate his deeply rooted and soft-spoken nature in combination with his dedication to every detail. Rest assured that you’ll be in the best company possible.

The Fly Fishing flats have a huge undisturbed population of Bone Fish and once you stand in front of a school of 50+ Bonefish you’ll wonder why they
